Coach & Other Volunteer Information

For All Volunteers

Our program only works through volunteers’ efforts.  We can use your help in many different ways – volunteer needs include coaches, team parents, marketing/fundraising, board membership, and other miscellaneous needs.

These roles are easy, fun, and rewarding.

Get involved, meet and work with fellow lacrosse parents!

If you have questions or would like to volunteer in any capacity, please contact us at (503) 693-4627.

For Coaches

All coaching candidates must submit submit an application to Hillsboro United and pass a background check.  Hillsboro United’s coach application can be found here:  [INSERT FORM]

All head coaches must have at least Level 1 Certification through the US Lacrosse’s Coach Development Program, which includes Positive Coaching Alliance, Safe Sport Training, and concussion training.  Assistant coaches are required to complete concussion training, and are encouraged, but not required, to complete Level 1 Certification.  Financial assistance may be available from Hillsboro United to interested coaches who are not already US Lacrosse Level 1 certified.

About US

Hillsboro United Girls Lacrosse was established in 2020 to provide elementary and middle school girls within Hillsboro School District’s boundaries an opportunity to participate in a competitive lacrosse program, emphasizing the fundamentals of the game, good sportsmanship, and the spirit of competition.  We will continue to work with the Hillsboro Parks & Recreation Dept. to promote lacrosse within our community.
